Massage Therapy

Deep tissue massage  often  helps  to reduce  muscle tension, increase circulation, and speed  the healing process. Massage  therapy is  most  helpful  when paired with  transverse friction, which  breaks apart  pain -producing  scar tissue. However,  to perform friction, you must  be able to contact the injuried  structure. The interspinous ( and , in  very muscular  people, intertransverse) ligments are too deep to be effectively reached by a  massage therapist  fingers. Therefore, it  they are injuried , friction and massage therapy will be only marginally helpful, and  another types of treatment, such as accupunture, prolotherapy  will be neccessary.
