Ultrasound Therapy

Ultrasound  is an acoustic radiation at  frequencies above   the limit of human hearing , i.e.,  20 kHz.  It is  a form of mechanical  energy  that can be transmitted   into the body as high frequency acousetical  pressure  waves.  The first  effect  of ultrasound  in tissue  is micromechanical  stresses an strians, which can  produce several  physical , biochemical and biological  events in  tissue. Additionally,  the absorption of this type of  energy  is used  by therapeutic ultrasound  to increase  temperature  of  tissue.
 
In  physical therapy and rehabilitation, usually ultrasonic  intensities of   1- 3  W/ cm2. In diagnostic  imaging , intensities are much lower  , from 0.5 to  50  W/cm 2,  which has not  thermal effect.
 
Clinical  research study has  shown  evidence of  accelerates fracture  healing  ,  repair skin  and  initiate the production of  collagen   by increase  blood  supply to the face by ultrasound  treatment.  Recent  Eurepene study also shows  lypolysis effect from ultrasound. It has been  intergrated into cellulite treatment in multiple  cosmatic clinic  through the country.
